Union Station

"Meeting of the Waters," the beautiful fountain across from Union Station in St. Louis was dedicated on this day. It was controversial at the time because of the nude figures.

Missouri's second-largest city is full of holiday activities and a couple of new businesses.

The last KATY passenger train made its run across Missouri on this day. Prior to this there were 115 trains per day using Union Station in St. Louis. Other passenger lines soon followed suit as travelers moved toward interstate highways and aviation.
