DAYS 1/2–WELCOME TO ENGLAND After an overnight flight from the U.S., arrive into Heathrow Airport. Meet with your driver and guide before departing for Coventry. En-route, stop in Oxford for a walking tour through the city. Oxford is England’s oldest center for learning, known as the home and inspiration of such famous authors as Lewis Carroll, CS Lewis, and JRR Tolkien. Continue toCoventry and check into your hotel. D

DAY 3–CYCLE TOUR OF THE COTSWOLDS Visit the Cotswolds to pick up your bikes and enjoy a lovely cycling tour through the area.The Cotswold’s honey-colored limestone houses, historical market towns and rolling green hills framed by drystone walls represent an unspoiled idyll of quintessential England. In the afternoon visit Stratford-upon-Avon where we will enjoy lunch in a local pub. Return toCoventry for a free evening to explore. B, L

DAY 4– COVENTRY TO LLANDUDNO Today travel from Coventry to Llandudno in North Wales. We’ll stop en-route to walk a small part of the Offa’s Dyke Path. Following the English/Welsh border for 177 miles alongside the 8th Century Offa’s Dyke, this National Trail takes you through changing landscapes offering amazing opportunities to catch a view of our native wildlife. We’ll drive through the beautiful National Park of Snowdonia inNorth Wales known in Welsh as Eyri – landof the eagles. Covering half the National Park are nine mountain ranges with Wales andEngland’s largest mountain – Mount Snowdon– standing at 3,650 feet tall. B, L, D

DAY 5–CONWY After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a cycling tour along the coast from Llandudno to Conwy. Built for Edward I, by Master James of St George, the Conwy Castle is amongst the finest surviving medieval fortifications in Britain. Return to Llandudno to enjoy the evening at leisure. B, L

DAY 6–LLANDUDNO TO THE LAKE DISTRICT Today we will travel from Conwy to the Lake District. In the morning attend an exclusive sheepdog demonstration. We’ll watch as these pedigreed, trained sheepdogs work on the hills above Llangollen. Enjoy lunch in a local pub or restaurant and continue travelling north to the Lake District for relaxing free time this afternoon. B, L, D

DAY 7–LAKE DISTRICT This morning, enjoy a cycling tour in the Lake District. TheLake District, a stunning National Park in the north of England, is home to sixteen lakes and Scafell Pike, the highest peak inEngland. The Lakes, famous for their dramatic landscape, lush forests and mist-capped mountains are the perfect place to explore England’s outdoors. In the afternoon visit Dove Cottage and garden. It was in this little cottage that William Wordsworth wrote some of the greatest poetry in the English language. B, L

DAY 8–LAKE DISTRICT TO GLASGOW Today, leave the Lake District and travel north towards Glasgow.On the way enjoy a cycling tour from Ayr to Irvine. This mostly flat-surface seaside route provides great views over the Isle of Arran. The route at the starth as lovely front beach cycling with several photographic opportunities. Continue to Glasgow,Scotland’s largest city, and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city. From the magnificent St MungoCathedral to the People’s Palace and Glasgow Green, we’ll explore Glasgow’s rich past as areligious center, and one of the most important industrial cities in Britain. DAY 9–ISLE OF BUTE Take the short ferry ride over to the Isle of Bute for a great day of cycling. Bute offers a wide range of cycling options, featuring truly splendid views and scenery. Enjoy lunch in a local pubor restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Mount Stuart House, a 19th century country manor house with extensive gardens. At the end of the afternoon take the ferry back to the mainland and return to the Glasgow area for our overnight. B, L

DAY 10–GLASGOW Drive along Loch Lomond to the town of Luss where we embark on the Loch Lemond IslandExplorer Cruise. Sail from Luss through Loch Lomond’s island jewels and visit the beautiful Inchcailloch –‘Isle of the Cowled Woman’. There will be time ashore for a picnic on the beach and woodland walks on this National Nature Reserve. The island supports wildlife including otter and fallow deer, as well as native and migrant birds including woodpecker, siskin, gold crest, crossbill, osprey and even capercaillie. After returning to Luss, drive to back to Glasgow for your overnight. B, L, D

DAY 11–FAREWELL After breakfast at our hotel in Glasgow, transfer to Edinburgh Airport for your journey home.
