This is the only scenic byway in an urban area, in Kansas City. The four miles go right through Kansas City and the scenic George E. Kessler Park. Part of the scenery includes limestone bluffs, natural vegetation and wildlife, all the more surprising because it’s in an urban environment right next to the heart of the city. Take an hour to enjoy the area. The drive extends from The Paseo and Independence Avenue through Indian Mound on Gladstone Boulevard at Belmont Boulevard.
