Henry Bellagnone Fulton Gnome
By Alex Stewart
More than seventy-five years after Kings Row was published, Henry Bellagnome breezed into town and began exploring the sights. His assistants, Scott Meislin and Steve Forck, bring Henry to town events and various Fulton locales where he meets fans and poses for pictures; his calendar is almost as busy as the President’s.
“I’m big into shop local programs and tourism,” reads Henry’s online bio. “During the day, I’m out in the community visiting new sights and businesses, meeting new people, and promoting Fulton, Missouri, tourism.”
His Facebook has more than eight hundred likes and is full of pictures around town. Scott says the team is working on developing a taxi service with Henry riding shotgun and selling T-shirts with Henry’s face on them. The proceeds will go to the Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence.
Beyond charity, Scott just wants to celebrate his hometown.
“It’s all about connections,” Scott says. “If anybody wants a local business or event promoted, we’re always looking to go to new places and help out our community.”
