Bonnie and Clyde were involved in another shootout on this day.  This time it was at the Red Crown Tavern and Tourist Court in Platte City.  Somehow they escaped but were later caught by another posse in Iowa. The shootout described above was depicted in the 1967 movie, Bonnie and Clyde, but the movie depiction showed a motel sign that read, “Platte City, Iowa.”
