Thomas Lawson Price
January 19, 1809: This was the birthday of Thomas Lawson Price, the first mayor of Jefferson City and the owner of the first stagecoach line between St. Louis and Jefferson City. He was also the part-owner and developer of several Missouri railroads. He eventually served in the US House of Representatives.
