Molly Brown, Titanic
April 14, 1912: The RMS Titanic hit an iceberg causing it to sink the following day. Missouri-born Margaret Brown survived and aided in the rescue of several people. She came to be know as, "The Unsinkable Molly Brown." Several others from Missouri were rescued that night including some upper-crust Americans and some steerage Irish immigrants who settled in Missouri afterwards.
