Imogene’s Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie
From The Pickett Fence in Blackwater
Ingredients:
1 deep-dish 9-inch unbaked pie shell
½ cup flour
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1½ stick oleo or butter, melted
2 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup pecans
Directions:
Beat togehter flour, both sugars, butter, and eggs. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 360 degrees 45 minutes to 1 hour. Test by inserting knife in centerr. Pie is ready when knife comes out clean
May substitute butterscotch chips for the chocolate chips. Note from the Rolling Pin: “This pie will make a confirmed bachelor propose marriage”!!
