Celebrate the sights and smells of fall at the City Market’s final Farm to Table Celebration. Pumpkins, Gourds and Apples, Oh My will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Patrons will find fresh, local harvest produce at the Farmers’ Market such as gourds, squash, pumpkins, apples and sweet potatoes. Plus beautiful Fall floral bouquets, mum plants, Indian corn, cornstalks and a variety of pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors.
While at Pumpkins, Gourds & Apples, Oh My, stroll through the pumpkin patch or enjoy an old fashioned horse-drawn hayrack ride compliments of Faulkner’s Ranch beginning at 10:00 a.m. You’ll wind through the River Market area, and have the opportunity to admire the beautiful architecture in this historic neighborhood.
Kids of all ages can play with a giant wooden “Mr. Pumpkin Head” and enjoy fall crafts with the Odd Ball Kids. Various City Market tenants and Farmers’ Market vendors will have homemade scarecrows on display too.
