The site’s historic village will be transformed into a living history town filled with pioneer men and women carrying out their daily tasks. Visitors will be able to meet the town’s carpenter, potter, store clerk and more. The Historic Daniel Boone Home will be open during the event and will feature Daniel Boone and his biographer, John Filson.
Activities and special programs will also take place throughout the day including period music, dancing, a blackpowder and cannon demonstration, blacksmithing, pottery and more. Children will also be able to partake in the fun in the “Children’s village." Activities will include tomahawk throwing, sack races, tug-of-war tournaments, and hay mazes.
