Beginning Feb. 9, the Hotel Phillips will showcase jazz on its mezzanine three evenings of the week. Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturdays from 8 to 11 p.m., there will be live jazz on the hotel's newly renovated mezzanine. During those evenings there will be a full bar available for guests, along with small plates of tempting appetizers by executive chef Justin Voldan.

To kick off the jazz offerings will be Millie Edwards, one of Kansas City's favorite jazz vocalists. Millie Edwards is known around Kansas City as the little woman with the big voice. She was selected in 2007 as KC Magazine's Best Musician. Her unique style and wide range, as well as her friendly professional manner have endeared her to Kansas Tidy audiences over the years. She's performed nationally and internationally. Millie has been a regular on the Kansas Tidy Jazz and Blues circuit, frequently performing at some of the best clubs in town as well as radio and television spots.
