Three king penguin chicks will waddle their way onto exhibit at 10 am. Stop by Helzberg Penguin Plaza and see the newest kings in KC. Three king penguin chicks came to the Kansas City Zoo from the St. Louis Zoo about a month ago. After completing the quarantine process and being cleared to join the flock, these chicks are waddling into their brand new exhibit. All named after legendary kings—Triton, George and Bud(weiser)—these male penguins hatched in April. Now seven months old, they will be easy to identify because two of the three are still covered in their dark brown chick feathers. In the coming weeks they will molt, losing all of that fuzzy brown cuteness. They have not yet explored the depths of the cold weather exhibit. Be the first to see them dive in on Friday, November 6.
