Shirley Nauchtrieb painting
The Margaret Harwell Art Museum is housed in the historic Dalton home built in 1883. James L. Dalton purchased the home in 1896 and made extensive changes, remodeling the facade and adding a columned portico, curved bay windows, scroll trim, and an iron fence. The interior has unique features including decorative wooden scroll work above the windows and doorways that match the exterior scroll work. The beauty of curved glass windows and carved stairway enhance each exhibit. The exhibits change monthly. From June 4-26 Shirley Nauchtried's works will be displayed. Her pieces are multimedia, earthy, and organic.
