This annual fundraiser begins with a BBQ pork dinner, tractor-pulled train rides, and an auction run by kids for kids. Saturday morning starts with a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, traditional Mennonite New Year's Cookies, and fresh-made donuts at 8 a.m.. The auction begins at 10 a.m. and features hand-crafted furniture, quilts, farm equipment, tools, sheds, livestock, and more. Silent auctions, skeet shooting, RC plane demos, and candy drops are scheduled throughout the day. A Pedal Power tractor pull competition for kids of all ages is set for 10:30 a.m. Lunch options include a baked potato bar, chuck-wagon chili, BBQ pork sandwiches, home-baked bierrocks by-the-bag, soft-serve ice cream, fresh-made strawberry pie, and a variety of other baked goods. All proceeds from items donated support MCC's world-wide disaster/disease and drought relief efforts.
