The Food is Not a Gamble

I will confess that I used to be an all-night penny-ante poker player in my college days. I bought some lottery tickets once, for my late grandmother. And at Lake Tahoe once, I determined how much I’d risk, but got up about $20 and decided that was fun to stop there. That’s the kind of gambler I am.

And yet, I find myself at the Isle of Capri here in town quite frequently because the food is not a gamble. The Isle is unveiling a locally grown menu, and I had the opportunity to sample the new menu at our Rotary Club Christmas party this week. The menu follows, and I can guarantee you, the potatoes are sublime! They will have this menu available on the Farmer’s Pick Buffet, which will open in mid-January. It’s a winner!

According to the FAQs at the Isle's website, crab legs will still be available, I assume on Friday nights.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed in this new buffet, especially if Crablegs won't be on the menu.
