WIcked Hot Sauce Eaters
Owners Chris Bintz and Mike Isenberg have been coworkers at their day jobs for the past four years but just recently opened Wicked Cactus Sauce and began making hot sauce in 2010. Although they’re new to the hot-sauce business, that doesn’t mean they don’t have any experience! Chris worked in restaurants for 15 years, and Mike was an avid hot sauce connoisseur for as long. After experimenting with dried smoked habanero peppers and ghost-chili powder, they had their first product: “Head Hunter’s Paradise.”
They produce their sauces in small batches to ensure quality and freshness, and each of their nine sauces sure provide the heat! From the hottest “Aliento Del Diablo” to the mild “Viva La Raza,” there are a variety of flavor combinations to suit numerous cooking and flavor needs, including BBQ, tacos, burritos, and pizza.
Currently, Chris and Mike's products are available on their website and at Figeuro’s in St. Charles. In the future, they plan to expand their retail locations and showcase their hot sauces at trade shows and farmer’s markets.
