Best of Missouri Life Festival 2010

It's a wonderful Missouri life, and we invite you to come and celebrate the best of it with us. The Best of Missouri Life Festival is a weekend-long celebration of the food, wine, art, music, other Missouri-made products, and the cultural heritage of the state on May 21-23, 2010 in downtown Boonville.

Harry S. Truman, Frank James, Daniel Boone and his biographer John Filson, and Mark Twain will all make appearance this year, along with wineries from across the state, Best of Missouri Hands artists, and vendors of Missouri-made products. Other events include wine tastings, musical entertainers, a juried art show, and displays.

Tour the historic Old Cooper County Jail, built in 1848 and the oldest continuously used county jail until its closing in 1978. Meet its most famous prisoner, Frank James, brother of Jesse. Frank (portrayed by a reenactor) was brought to the jail and charged with a robbery in the county, but sympathetic Boonville citizens raised his bond within a matter of hours.

Candy Coburn will perform at the Isle of Capri.

Visit again soon! We'll be adding new events, venues, and more each week!

The festival begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 21 and runs through 4 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010.

Daily hours are as follows:
Friday 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
