About Missouri Life

Greg Wood and Danita Allen Wood (a husband and wife team of journalists themselves) started the company 9 years ago. The company is a member of the International and Regional Magazine Association (IRMA). Danita is serving a three-year term on its board, and you will have opportunities to attend annual conferences. Our magazine is hosting the 2010 conference.

Our prize-winning magazine has won the Gold Award for a travel feature, a Bronze Award for art direction, and a couple of IRMA Awards of Merit, as well as a couple of Missouri Tourism Department awards.

Since this couple revived Missouri Life in 1999, both the magazine and the company have experienced steady growth. The six-times-per-year, full four-color glossy, 20,000 circulation magazine has won a national design and writing award as well as other editorial awards, and paid circulation, renewal rates, and advertising revenues have steadily risen. We have 11 full or part-time employees and offer benefits to full-time employees.
