Great Food with a Great View!

Great Food with a Great View!

There’s nothing like a great view of a river or a lake when you are dining. And fortunately Missouri has many places you can combine the ambience of a summertime evening with great food while gazing at the placid water surrounded by green-forested hills. One of my all-time favorite views is from the A-frame at Les Bourgeois Winery, which overlooks the Missouri River. What can be better than sipping a nicely chilled Pink Fox or a Riverboat Red while watching the sun set over the Big Muddy, which from this vantage point looks more like the sky glistening in a forever changing panoply of colors.

Another great place for dining views is at the Lake of the Ozarks. Andre’s has a great view and food. HKs at the Lodge of Four Seasons has elegant dining at lake level, and you can watch boats coming and going at close range. A new place I’ve just discovered is called Baxter’s Lakeside Grille and it combines great casual dining with a “mountain top” view of the lake. You can find this right on Business 54 near the intersection with HH — on the Lake side of course.

You missed the Duck at the Lake of the Ozarks! Fabulous view of sunsets and Chef Chris is incredible! Love all of the ones you did mention, too.
