Road Kill Recipe
A reader sent a nice note to me recently, stating he had enjoyed my blog about armadillo. I’m always happy when I get comments or emails from readers. I’m extremely pleased when you can find something nice to say about a story about road kill.
The reader was kind enough to attach a recipe for armadillo. A recipe? Are you kidding? The first ingredient: field dressed and cleaned armadillo. The second ingredient: 1 1/2 cups of white wine (which I suggest you drink before you start cutting up the armadillo). You know, they carry Hansen Disease (leprosy), but I was assured on one web site that if you cook it well done, it’s no problem. Sure, no worries, let’s fry up some blow fish as a side dish.
Sorry, maybe I’m just not adventurous enough, but for now, I’d rather see them beside the road than on my dinner plate.
