Getting Greener
We try to be good stewards of the environment here at the magazine. Amy Stapleton made sure all our offices were set up with recycle bins ten years ago. A few years ago, we introduced sending the first renewal notice by email to those of you who have shared yours with us. (Missouri Life will never sell or share your emails. See our privacy policy.) And now, your next issue will be printed on paper that is 10% post-consumer waste and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
In addition, we have introduced Missouri e-Life, an all digital edition. We know that most of you prefer to read a paper copy on the couch or in your easy chair or maybe even at the dinner table, but we want to be ready if someone invents a reader with the quality graphics, portability, and just the pleasure factor of fine paper. We don’t think the Kindle is there yet, but something will be before you know it.

Danita Allen Wood is editor-in-chief and co-owner of the magazine, along with her husband, Greg Wood. They bought and revived the magazine in 1999. Since then, it has won multiple awards from the International Regional Magazine Association, including Magazine of the Year in 2008. Danita will share her journeys around the state, some of the behind-the-scenes stories about making the magazine, and reflections on life in Missouri.
